Acting

The Acting Bachelor's Program is dedicated to studying the "alphabet" of the acting profession. We want our students to follow a natural path of knowledge, from simple to complex, in which theoretical analysis and practical experimentation are intertwined, during which they train their verbal-vocal and bodily expressiveness, thinking, creativity, imagination, empathy, and the ability to work in a group.

Year 1 – The path from theatrical play to complex improvisation exercises; understanding the logical mechanism of thinking in the stage situation; preparing the student-actor to address the problems of the actor's art.

Year II – Analysis of the dramatic text; building a psychological path on a given topic; applying the “Specific Logical Mechanism” through assumption.

Year III – Acquiring the ability to lead the stage process while respecting comic mechanisms; discovering the degree of freedom in relation to the conditioning imposed by the dramatic situation.

Year IV – Developing the ability to maintain a directorial idea in an organic acting process; the ability to adapt the bachelor's show to different spaces offered by festivals or opportunities for participation in presentations – activities within partnerships with partner (educational or cultural) institutions.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. The involvement, availability, and creativity of the individual within the artistic working group.
2. Supporting the process of rediscovering the natural component and obtaining behavioral truth.
3. Organic functioning in the conventional situation and the pursuit of continuous processuality in the conditions of self-evaluation and individual work.
4. Theoretical knowledge of the theatrical phenomenon with the help of bibliography and specific documentation.

In parallel, during the four years of study, students have the opportunity to grow alongside their colleagues, to experiment and explore the actor-director-choreographer-scenographer relationship within the joint projects related to each semester, in projects in which the knowledge acquired in the acting laboratory is tested.

At the end of the Bachelor's degree cycle, the student must be able to:

  • create their own discipline in the work process;
  • develop a set of artistic values and criteria that will support them in the creation and analysis of the artistic act;
  • discover and understand oneself as an integrative artistic matter;
