Entrepreneurship and Management of Theatrical Organizations

The general objective of this master's program is related to the development and diversification of the educational offer for the fruition of the skills developed by the professions acquired in the bachelor's programs and for the addition of skills specific to leadership, organization, and planning of activity in theatrical organizations and institutions, as well as for encouraging the entrepreneurial initiatives of graduates and preparing them for professions available on the current cultural market.

Graduate of the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Management of Theater Organizations will have the ability to formulate realistic managerial strategies and visions for profile organizations while respecting the aesthetics of the field; will have the ability to synthesize and analyze with the tools offered by specialized Management, related to the performing arts; will be able to correlate theoretical aesthetic concepts with the practices of managerial thinking; will correctly use the terminology developed by cultural policies and strategies using legislative documents in the field of activity; will have the ability to identify and analyze cultural and artistic phenomena from a strategic perspective and to understand and practice within the structures of cultural administration; will know the social responsibilities related to the profession, having the ability to contribute to the professionalization of the field; will acquire research skills and the development of management and marketing articles and studies for organizations and performing arts institutions; will have the ability to understand and apply knowledge of theater technique and production.

At the end of the study period, the graduate will know the terms and concepts specific to cultural management and entrepreneurship; the techniques for organizing and presenting cultural activities according to the chosen target groups; the relevant legislative norms as well as those regarding the organization of cultural institutions.. At the same time, the graduate of this master's program will know how to organize state or independent cultural institutions, of different sizes or structures; will have information on how to manage crisis situations, challenges in state and independent cultural institutions; will be able to facilitate dialogue and joint creative activities between artists, creative teams formed by various cultural branches; will be able to deepen practical experience in the cultural sector by using theoretical knowledge for the full implementation of interdisciplinary projects; will have the ability to formulate and present content and ideas adapted to each category of audience, knowing the legislative bases in the artistic and cultural field in Romania and Europe; will know the phases of conception, access, implementation of cultural projects financed through competition or fundraising.

The interview is conducted as a free discussion between the Admissions Committee and the candidate based on the information contained in the CV and the candidate's experience. The candidate's motivations and theoretical arguments presented in the written motivation, regarding personal concerns in the field of master's studies, will be analyzed and debated.

Creative project workshop – (practical)
is scored from 1 to 10
25 – 30 minutes candidate

The test consists of developing and defending a original mini-artistic project, an intention for theatrical and/or entrepreneurial artistic creation, in which the candidate will describe: the project idea, some of the implementation stages and the purpose of the proposed project.

The candidate will draw a ticket in the exam with a topic proposed by the committee on the basis of which he will develop a mini-project in front of the committee. The project will be supported with details regarding: the opportunity, necessity, originality of the topic, as well as the implementation stages and the finality of the project. (25 -30 minutes / candidate)

CLAIMS:

  1. No appeals are allowed for oral/practical tests.
  2. The tests are scored on a scale of 1 to 10.
  3. The final grade is the arithmetic average of the two tests.
  4. The minimum admission average for places financed from the budget and for those with a fee cannot be less than 6,00 (six)

DIVISION CRITERIA IN CASE OF EQUAL AVERAGES:

  • Criterion 1. Average of the final exam – bachelor's degree.
  • Criterion 2. Overall average of years of study in the undergraduate university cycle.
