The Master's program in Acting offers students a natural transition from studying the acting profession to understanding the role of the actor, in the overall theatrical and cinematic phenomenon, as well as experiencing the art of the actor in the context of theatrical performance and film of the 21st century. By deepening the different theatrical styles: absurd theater, dance theater, musical theater, Commedia dell'Arte, epic theater, etc., the graduate of the Master's program in Acting will be able to face any challenges they will encounter in their artistic career. Interdisciplinary courses are organized within the Master's program with the Departments of Theater Directing and Film Directing, in which specific skills are acquired in the field of Theater and Performing Arts, Cinematography and Media.
The Master's program offers:
- introduction to the professional theatrical field through direct contact and study with established directors and actors from the country and abroad, through workshops and masterclasses;
- specialization and deepening of body and vocal skills, with applicability in master performances;
- a broader vision of the theatrical phenomenon, by combining theoretical and practical study;
- the transition from a tutoring system to one of guidance carried out by the teacher in such a way that the student develops autonomy in the creative process, becoming an artistic personality capable of performance, in the European cultural context;
- deepening the understanding of the actor-director-set designer relationship and the creative process within the team;
- developing managerial skills related to the acting profession (castings, creating portfolios, contractual notions, copyrights, developing projects to obtain funds, etc.).
