Within the Master's program in the Art of Film Editing, students delve deeper into one of the most important stages in the creation of a film project: editing.
Editing requires a good knowledge of all editing techniques and a high degree of spontaneity and creativity. During the two years, master's students can complete their knowledge with new knowledge, both in the visual and audio fields. By combining theoretical training with specialized practice and by exploring diverse perspectives, students understand how audiovisual dramaturgy is structured, what is the creative potential of editing in defining the dramaturgical path, as well as what is the role of the editor in making a film.

Complete portfolios/CVs are submitted after registration, only in electronic format. The candidate must ensure that all required elements are in the portfolio and can be accessed, otherwise he/she will not be admitted to the exam.
The University will make available to the candidate, but only after registering on the 2Edubits platform, a folder on a secure platform where he/she can upload the requested documents, a folder to which only the institution and the candidate have access. - Candidates must have completed either a 240-credit specialization or a 180-credit specialization.
- Upon registration, candidates will submit a portfolio containing their artistic projects (digital copies of films in various standards; other relevant projects can be added) and a CV in EuroPass format.
STAGE I
Sample 1
ORAL TEST
Interview/colloquium on the candidate's portfolio and CV. Support for the concept and assembly structure of one of the projects contained in the portfolio, at the candidate's choice.

WRITTEN TEST
It is rated from 1 to 10.

Cinematographic culture test based on the competition bibliography.
- Testing the ability to produce a written synthesis of the theoretical material on the topic received.
- Testing the ability to provide concrete examples from universal filmography on the given topic.
The grade obtained in Stage I is represented by the arithmetic average of the grades obtained in Test 1 and Test 2.

PRACTICAL TEST
It is rated from 1 to 10.
Proof on a given raw, in an editing software: Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro.
The test aims to:
- Testing the ability to conceptualize and produce, within a set period of 3 hours, an audiovisual product based on the committee's requirements.
- Testing the level of knowledge of operating principles in a project.
- Testing the ability to dialogue with the committee on the finished product and based on the intention and concept of the installation.
UNATC provides candidates with workstations equipped with editing software (Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro) and the raw material that they will edit during the test.
Candidates may choose to work on their own laptop, provided that one of the three editing software mentioned above is installed on it.

The final grade of the entrance exam is the arithmetic average between the grade obtained in Stage I (result of the arithmetic average between the grades of the 2 tests of the stage) and the grade obtained in Stage II.
The division in case of equal averages is made according to the grades obtained in Test 3 (Editing test on a given raw material, in an editing software), respectively Test 1 (Interview / colloquium on the candidate's portfolio) and Test 2 (Cinema culture test based on the competition bibliography).
