Audiovisual Communication: Screenwriting, Media Advertising, Filmology

During the three years of Bachelor's studies, students acquire and consolidate a solid theoretical foundation and put it to good use through sustained practice. The curriculum combines filmology and screenwriting courses, highlighting the close connections between the two fields.

Through film history, theory and film analysis courses, students encounter the history of universal and Romanian cinema, develop their critical thinking, acquire film analysis skills and put these things into practice by writing film reviews and analytical essays.

In screenwriting courses, students learn about the specializations and characteristics of a film script, the history of screenwriting and the screenwriting profession, and also learn the basics of TV format editing and film adaptation. They are guided and advised in writing short and feature films and become familiar with their stages, as well as with various structures, techniques and methods of screenwriting development.

Film production courses organically complement the curriculum, helping students understand the process of structuring, evaluating, and promoting a film production.

At the end of the three years, students can choose to defend their bachelor's thesis either through a paper on film history or theory, or through a feature-length fiction screenplay.
