Within "Digital Sensory" Project, CNFIS-FDI-2024-F-0378 – SEDI, it is planned to facilitate postdoctoral programs that support the continuous professional development of students and teachers, to provide opportunities to deepen knowledge and specialize in the fields of theater and film, as well as related disciplines, including emerging ones (digital arts, immersive, AI, VR, AR, XR, etc.). Thus, UNATC organizes the admission competition for the advanced research postdoctoral program and offers two scholarships over 12 months, to interested researchers who have obtained their doctorate in sciences in the fields of Theater and Performing Arts and Cinematography and Media no more than 5 years before admission and are not older than 35 years.
Admission to a 12-month advanced research postdoctoral program.
The evaluation of postdoctoral research projects will be organized by the Department of Doctoral Studies in collaboration with the Department of Research, Development and Innovation. Each project proposal will be evaluated separately by a selection committee nominated by the IOSUD/UNATC management.
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH PROJECT/INTERVIEW SUPPORT
Candidates will present their project to a selection committee appointed by the IOSUD/UNATC management. The committee is made up of at least three members, doctoral supervisors, UNATC tenured professors and/or other professionals with recognized experience and professional prestige from research and artistic creation entities.
In the event that the post-doc supervisor (mentor) is not part of the committee, he/she will be invited to take part in the defense. The decision to appoint the selection committee is transmitted to the Department of Doctoral Studies.
The project defense will be organized in the week following the evaluation of the submitted projects. The Department for Doctoral Studies organizes the competition. The candidate's file will be made available to the committee by the Doctoral School secretariat.

Registration documents
Registrations take place at the secretariat of the doctoral studies department or at the email address secretariat@unatc.ro.
To register, candidates will present the following documents:
1. Application for admission to the postdoctoral program;
2. Professional CV;
3. List of achievements (in the fields of theater and performing arts or cinema and media as well as in related fields or in specified scientific fields consistent with the subject of the targeted postdoctoral projects). The materials will be presented in electronic format;
4. Personal postdoctoral research project (5 pages including bibliography, in two copies, in electronic format);
5. Project justification: objective, purpose, dissemination of results and impact (1 page, in electronic format);
6. Portfolio of references regarding significant research and/or artistic creation activity and specification of final results in electronic format;
7. Certificate of use and mastery of the English language or English language exam (or of an internationally spoken language, as the case may be, in electronic format);
8. Set of official documents (in electronic format): identity document / identity card - copy; birth certificate - copy; marriage certificate or other document of possible name change - copy; bachelor's degree - copy; doctor's degree - copy, other significant diplomas and certificates for additional training and education;
9. Standard declaration regarding the consent to the use of personal data (in electronic format);
10. For candidates who do not come from UNATC, proof of participation will also be attached to research and/or artistic creation projects and grants, to artistic productions, to events that demonstrate connections and interest in the sustainable development of research in the reference areas of activity of postdoctoral research.
Evaluation criteria and standards and selection
GENERAL CRITERIA
- Obtaining a doctorate no more than five years before enrolling in the program advanced research postdoctoral fellow.
- Knowledge and mastery of the English language.
SPECIFIC CRITERIA
- higher education in the fields of: Theater and performing arts, respectively Cinematography and media
EVALUATION CRITERIA
- scientific research and artistic creation activity
- the relevance of the institution that awarded the university and academic titles
- the relevance of the field and the doctoral research (thesis) for fitting into the mission of the postdoctoral studies project
- the relevance of one's own vision regarding the development and improvement of knowledge and performance in scientific research and artistic creation
- the number and type of scientific works and in internationally circulated languages, the prestige and significant status of the events, projects, works
- national and/or international visibility in the reference field
- practical activity in carrying out scientific research and/or artistic creation projects in the reference fields
- connection of data that validates the candidates' knowledge, experience and expertise in the nominated postdoctoral research field
- professional and teaching activity – their relevance for the postdoctoral project
EVALUATION STANDARDS
- failure to meet the general criteria is recorded as REJECTED;
- in case of integration into the general criteria, the evaluation of the proposed projects is ADMITTED;
evaluation weight: - out of 100%, 60% is granted for scientific research activity;
- out of 100%, 20% is granted for practical scientific research activity (workshops held with and for the target group, shows, film performances that test the research paradigm, etc.);
- out of 100%, 10% is awarded for the project's impact at the community level;
- out of 100%, 10% is granted for professional activity.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS
The list of candidates declared admitted will be displayed on the noticeboard of the Department of Doctoral Studies.
CONTRACT
Admitted candidates will sign a contract, including the obligation to fulfill the objectives assumed through the Project proposal submitted during the selection procedure.
