Animation Theater

This two-year Master's program is dedicated to those who wish to develop their skills in the field of animation theater, by deepening the understanding and practice of this art. Supported by a curriculum that combines the learning process with that of research, through means specific to artistic experimentation, master's students acquire the ability to fully realize an animation show, using both traditional and digital techniques.

Among the disciplines studied are: Animation Show Direction, Visual Expression in Animation Theater, Aesthetics of Performing Arts, Animation Theater Technique, Advanced Handling Systems, Sound Expression in Animation Theater, Scenographic Art, Multimedia in Contemporary Performance, Creative Workshop, Public Policies and Cultural Legislation, and Specialized Practice.

Complete portfolios/CVs are submitted after registration, only in electronic format. The candidate must ensure that all required elements are in the portfolio and can be accessed, otherwise he/she will not be admitted to the exam.

The University will make available to the candidate, but only after registering on the 2Edubits platform, a folder on a secure platform where he/she can upload the requested documents, a folder to which only the institution and the candidate have access. Access to the platform will be communicated to the email address used for registration.

  • Presentation of a personal project animation, in a suite of images (photographs or drawings, subject, details about the chosen animation technique), in a project file, in electronic form, the data being recorded on a stick.
  • OVERVIEW a character practically accomplished (doll, marionette, silhouette, object, collage of objects or images, etc.).

CLAIMS:

  1. No appeals are allowed for oral/practical tests.
  2. The samples are scored from 1 to 10.
  3. The final grade is the arithmetic average of the committee members.
  4. The minimum admission average for places financed from the budget and for those with a fee cannot be less than 6,00 (six).

DIVISION CRITERIA IN CASE OF EQUAL AVERAGES:

  • criterion 1. Average of the bachelor's degree final exam.
  • Criterion 2. Overall average of years of study in the undergraduate university cycle.
