The Master's program in the Art of Set Design aims to deepen the study of theater and film scenography, by understanding the most recent trends in the field and, at the same time, to complete studies related to the art and technique of creating sets and costumes. The Costume Design courses guide students towards interpreting costumes from different time periods and towards mastering the techniques of creating theater and film costumes. The Multimedia Technical Technologies course cultivates their ability to integrate digital components into a scenography, something increasingly used in the performing arts, towards a complex and modern vision.
Master's studies stimulate creativity and interaction with students from other departments in the two Faculties within UNATC "IL Caragiale", the set designer student individually going through all the stages of materializing the set design concept, from plans, sketches, developments, perspectives, details (workbook) to the final production of the sets and costumes.
The master's degree lasts 2 years (full-time) and concludes with the writing of a dissertation, based on original scientific research in the field.

Interview based on CV and a portfolio of representative works:
- sketches of atmosphere and costumes inspired by the pieces from the given repertoire;
- decoration sketches;
- costume sketches;
- technical projects (elevations, plantings, sections, perspectives);
- atmospheric sketches;
- free projects and photos for the candidate's personal projects in the field.
The works will be presented in original and digital format (stick).

CLAIMS:
- No appeals are allowed for oral/practical tests.
- The tests are scored on a scale of 1 to 10.
