The Master of Science program THEATRE AND PERFORMANCE STUDIES offers students a unique opportunity in our country to study, for two years, with professors and specialists in the theory, aesthetics and history of theater and performance. The goal of this program is to encourage a rigorous exploration of theater theory, to stimulate critical thinking and to encourage interdisciplinary research in the field of performing arts, which in the last two decades has experienced rapid development in our country.
At the same time, this program aims at professionalization in the field of scientific and artistic research, by studying methodologies and research methods based on artistic practices (Practice as Research, Practice-based research). To this end, the curriculum contains two courses dedicated to artistic research: Research through Theater and Performing Arts and Performance as Experiment.
The master's program prepares students for a career either within or outside academia. It is intended to serve as a preparatory course for students wishing to pursue a doctorate, helping them to develop their scientific/artistic research skills, but it is also suitable for those who wish to improve their knowledge of contemporary theater in order to then become practitioners in the field.
At the end of their studies, each master's student will have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge in an individual theoretical research project (dissertation thesis), as well as through a portfolio of studies and articles published throughout the two years of the master's degree.

Complete portfolios/CVs are submitted after registration, only in electronic format. The candidate must ensure that all required elements are in the portfolio and can be accessed, otherwise he/she will not be admitted to the exam.

- a Curriculum Vitae containing information about your studies and professional activity;
- a research project in the field of Theater and Performance Theory (between 7.500-10.000 characters, 3-5 pages) that highlights the individual study and research objectives pursued.
