In this Master's program, students deepen their knowledge and understanding of screenwriting. During this two-year process, theoretical aspects are combined with actual practice. Master's participants study the history of screenwriting, the specificity of the film script and the possibilities of defining it. At the same time, they become familiar with different cinematic narrative structures, approach specific genres, analyze possibilities for adapting a literary text and explore types of scripts characteristic of television or VOD platforms (series, mini-series, etc.).
The Master's in Screenwriting marks the transition from the tutoring system (addressed in the undergraduate program) to script doctoring: first-year professors guide and support students in finding their specific theme, style, and storytelling method, just as script doctors often do, which professional screenwriters in the industry often turn to.
At the end of each Master's year, students have at least one feature film script in their portfolio.
They also participate in working sessions with professors, script theorists and screenwriters, invited from outside the university, or with internationally recognized practitioners.
As with other programs of the Faculty, master's students are encouraged to collaborate in the implementation of vocational exercises carried out by students of other departments, as screenwriters, co-screenwriters, editors, script doctors.
We thus aim to familiarize students with the role, context, and possibilities of approaching their future profession through a process in which diversifying perspectives helps them crystallize their own vision, respectively take the step towards their future career as professional screenwriters.

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
- College graduates with a bachelor's degree are accepted into the competition.
- Candidates must have graduated from a specialization with 180 credits or 240 credits.
- The candidate will submit a CV, motivation, an portfolio uni a script draft which he/she wishes to develop during the study program.
- All these texts (CV, motivation, portfolio, script draft) must be written in Romanian, with diacritics, on A4 format pages. Texts that do not meet this condition will not be taken into account.
- CVThe application will be submitted in electronic format. The electronic file will be in pdf format named as follows: CV Name First name Master, where the Last Name and First Name are those of the candidate.
- Motivation The option for this specialization will be a maximum of one A4 page (12-point Times New Roman font, 1,5 line spacing) and will be submitted electronically. The file will be in pdf format named as follows: Motivation Name First name Master, where the Last Name and First Name are those of the candidate.
- portfolio is made up of the most successful original texts written by the candidate and should contain between minimum 30 of pages and Maximum 100 of pages. The texts can be scripts, stories, plays, sketches, short stories, novels, memoirs or any other written projects that the candidate considers relevant, in full or in the form of fragments. If fragments of a larger text are presented, this must be specified immediately under the title. Texts written exclusively by the candidate are preferred, and if the candidate nevertheless wishes to submit texts written in collaboration with someone else, this must be explicitly stated, immediately under the title. Adaptations of texts written by other authors are not accepted. Scripts must be accompanied by a synopsis and a motivation by the author of a maximum of one page. Scripts must be written in the standard known format, and all other texts will be edited with the Times New Roman font of 12 points and spaced at 1,5 lines on A4 pages. All texts in the portfolio will be grouped in the same pdf file. The portfolio will have a cover page on which the candidate's first and last name will be written and a table of contents page with the titles of the texts in the portfolio and the page number on which they can be found. These two pages will not be counted towards the number of portfolio pages. Portfolios will be submitted in electronic format. The electronic file will be in pdf format named as follows: Portfolio Name First name Master, where the Last Name and First Name are those of the candidate.
- The script project that the candidate wishes to develop during the study program will be presented in the form of a synopsis (maximum one page, Times New Roman 12-point font and 1,5 line spacing) and a motivation by the author (maximum one page, Times New Roman 12-point font and 1,5 line spacing). Screenplay projects will be submitted in electronic format.
